It’s been another incredible month for the Offploy Disclosure Toolkit; one that’s left us both energised and deeply grateful to the sector.
On 26 June, we hosted our Virtual Launch Event for Frontline Advisers, which saw almost 600 people sign up and over 300 professionals join us live. From probation officers to employability coaches and education leads, the level of engagement and discussion was phenomenal.
We were joined by amazing people from across the sector including: Scott Parkin, CEO of the Institute of Employability Professionals; Annette So, Director of the Criminal Justice Alliance; Dominic Headley of DHA Associates; Charis Green of Maximus; and Stephanie Cavaco Cox of Catch22. All of them spoke of their own experience of the difficulties of navigating the criminal justice system or the testimonials of those who have used the toolkit and found it helpful.
The chat was alive with practical questions, supportive comments, and real-life examples, reminding us why this toolkit was built by the sector, for the sector. Whether people joined to better support clients or to understand disclosure for themselves, the atmosphere was one of shared purpose and impact.
Next Up: Employers Launch – 22 July
Building on that momentum, we’re now preparing for our next major milestone: the Employer Launch Event on Tuesday 22 July at 09:15-10:30am.
This session is designed specifically for inclusive employers, HR leads, recruiters, and CSR teams who want to understand how to implement fair chance hiring policies with confidence and legal clarity.

We’ll be showcasing the toolkit’s employer-facing features, as well as our ScoreApp diagnostic tool, and answering your questions about criminal record disclosure and risk-managed hiring.
We’ll also be welcoming a fantastic line up of speakers and panellists from major employers, social value experts and the CIPD Trust. You won’t want to miss it!
By the Numbers: Real Impact, Real People
Since the launch of www.disclosuretoolkit.org:
Over 1,800 people have used the Disclosure Calculator to check whether their conviction is spent or still needs to be disclosed
We’ve seen dozens of sign-ups to the R3 Certificate—our accredited training course for frontline staff and advisers
People are reaching out daily for advice and guidance on what they legally need to disclose and how to explain it
Organisations across justice, education and employment support are embedding the toolkit into their practice and policy
The takeaway? This isn’t just a website. It’s becoming a movement; a clearer, fairer, and more compassionate approach to supporting people with convictions into work.

Alongside the toolkit, we’ve also launched the Free-to-Use ScoreApp for Employers.
This free diagnostic tool helps organisations quickly assess how inclusive and consistent their current recruitment policies are around criminal record disclosure. In under 5 minutes, employers can generate a tailored report and get practical recommendations to improve confidence, compliance, and inclusion.

A Word from Sir Richard Branson
And finally – if you still haven’t seen the video of Sir Richard Branson endorsing Jacob’s pitch for the Disclosure Toolkit, we’d recommend grabbing a cuppa and watching it now.
“Helping people with convictions get back into work is one of the most impactful things we can do as a society,” he says, and we couldn’t agree more.
